Si è corsa domenica 4 ottobre la 6^ tappa di ITU World Cup Triathlon a Cozumel, in Messico. Le vittorie al termine del triathlon sprint (0.750-20-5K) sono andate al sudafricano Richard Murray e alla giapponese Ai Ueda.
Tra gli uomini, arriva a un passo dalla top ten e a 13″ dal podio il portacolori delle Fiamme Oro Andrea Secchiero. Gli altri tre azzurri Massimo De Ponti, Gianluca Pozzatti e Matthias Steinwandter finiscono rispettivamente al 27°, 28° e 47° posto.
L’italiana Gaia Peron, che difende i colori della Turchia, si piazza invece al 31° posto finale.
