A Chengdu, in Cina, sabato 16 aprile si è corsa la 3^ tappa dell’ITU Triathlon World Cup che ha salutato le vittorie della statunitense Summer Cook, devastante a piedi, e del messicano Rodrigo Gonzalez, scappato in bici.

L’azero Rostyslav Pevtsov non è più una sorpresa ed è secondo assoluto davanti, per 4″, al belga Marten Van Riel.

Lontani gli azzurri: Luca Facchinetti ha chiuso al 24° posto, Davide Uccellari al 36°, Andrea Secchiero al 44°.

Belgio sul podio anche tra le donne grazie a Claire Michel che arriva a 36″ dalla vetta grazie al miglior split a piedi, con l’austriaca Lisa Perterer a vincere la volata per il terzo posto a discapito dell’ucraina Yelistratova.

Solo un’italiana al traguardo, la portacolori della nazionale turca Gaia Peron che ha chiuso al 27° posto.
