La seconda tappa di ITU World Cup è andata in scena sabato 11 marzo a Mooloolaba, divenuta ormai una delle tappe di riferimento del triathlon internazionale.
Dominio dei locali, con i primi due posti conquistati da triatleti australiani sia tra le donne, sia tra gli uomini.
Il bronzo olimpico di Londra 2012 Emma Jackson ha vinto davanti ad Ashleigh Gentle per 16″, con terza la messicana Claudia Rivas; Luke Willian ha avuto la meglio per 8″ su Drew Boz, con il neozelandese Sam Ward terzo a due secondi.
